While melodic black metal would certainly make sense, it would also sell it a bit short. With Skjolden, Carl has created an enigmatic journey across a vast landscape of grandiose, melodic riffing that will appeal to fans of everything from Naglfar to Wolves in the Throne Room to At the Gates!
