Autrest’s Follow the Cold Path is a striking atmospheric black metal debut that embraces the genre’s naturalistic, forest-inspired spirit while bringing a powerful and distinctly immersive character of its own. Across seven tracks, the album balances icy, raw intensity with haunting beauty, expansive atmospheres, and a sense of wilderness that makes the music feel both majestic and deeply evocative. Rather than simply following established conventions, Autrest demonstrates a strong command of the style, delivering a gripping and memorable recording filled with cold landscapes, emotional depth, and captivating power.
